Electrical

Planning

  • Students are responsible for understanding all the necessary parts and electronics involved in the robot's function
  • Includes designing the layout for the electronics
  • Drawing, calculating, and assessing are all important skills when it comes to planning

Wiring

  • Students learn to crimp, solder, and organize wires
  • Wiring includes working with electronics from motors to the roborio
  • Organization and attention to detail are two highly important characteristics of students on this sub team

Diagnosing

  • Students test the electronics through working closely with electrical and mechanical sub teams
  • Students assess their work and look for potential problems and solutions
  • Once problems are determined, planning and wiring are involved in allowing the robot to work efficiently
